These terms cover your use of Every Swing, built by FilledStacks. Using the app means you accept them.
What the app does
Every Swing records the golf you play. You mark each shot as you take it — from your Apple Watch or your phone — and the app notes where it was hit from, which club you used and anything else you tell it. It then replays the round on your phone with per-shot and per-round statistics.
What the app knows is what you marked. Positions come from consumer GPS and are approximate, a shot you did not mark is a shot it cannot show you, and a mark in the wrong place will read as a shot from the wrong place. You can add, correct and delete shots at any time, and you should assume review is part of using the app rather than an exception.
Not for competition scoring
Distances and positions are derived from consumer GPS and are approximate. Do not rely on Every Swing for official scoring, handicap submission, or any purpose where an inaccurate number carries a consequence. Where a competition restricts distance-measuring devices, following that rule is your responsibility.
Play safely
Look up. Do not operate the app while it would distract you from your surroundings, other players, or a moving ball.
Your account
You need an account to sync rounds. Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Do not use the app unlawfully, and do not attempt to break, overload, or reverse engineer it.
Your data stays yours
The rounds you record belong to you. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process and display them back to you, and to keep the service running. The app itself, its design and its code remain ours.
Subscriptions
Some features require a paid subscription, billed through your app store account and renewing automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel it in your app store subscription settings — cancelling in the app store is the only way to stop a renewal. Refunds are handled by the app store under its policies, not by us.
Availability
We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and the app is provided "as is" without warranties. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it.
Ending it
You can stop at any time by deleting your account from the Account tab. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
Changes
If these terms change materially we will update the date above and surface the change in the app.
