Privacy Policy

Every Swing is built by FilledStacks. This policy explains what the app records about you, why, where it is kept, and how to get rid of it.
What we collect
- Account details. When you sign in with Apple or Google we receive your email address, a display name if the provider supplies one, and a user id. Sign in with Apple only releases your email the first time you authorise the app; if you hide it, we store Apple's relay address instead.
- Round data. Your Apple Watch records the GPS coordinates and timestamp of every shot it detects during a round, along with the path you walked, the hole and par you set, putt counts, and the club and annotations you choose. This is the substance of the product.
- Motion data. The watch reads its accelerometer, gyroscope and orientation sensors continuously while a round is running in order to detect swings. These readings are processed on the watch and are not uploaded as raw sensor streams.
- Workout data. The watch starts a HealthKit golf workout while you play, which keeps tracking alive in the background and lets the round appear in Apple Health. It reads heart rate, active energy and walking distance from HealthKit for the duration of the session.
- Your bag. The clubs you configure, so the watch can offer them when it asks which club you hit.
- Purchase status. Whether you hold an active subscription. We never see your card details.
- Usage analytics. Which screens you open and which steps of setup you complete, tied to your user id.
Where it is kept
Rounds are written to your phone's private app storage as files, and synced to Google Cloud Firestore under a project we operate. Access rules restrict every document to the account that owns it. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication, subscriptions by RevenueCat, and product analytics by PostHog. Each of these processes data on our behalf under their own terms.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data, we do not share your rounds or location history with advertisers, and we do not use your data to build advertising profiles. Your rounds are not visible to other players.
Location, specifically
Location is collected by the watch app while a round is running, because a shot without a position is not a shot. The phone app does not request your location for its own purposes — it draws the coordinates the watch already recorded. Ending the round ends the collection.
Deleting your data
Account → Delete account permanently removes your profile and the rounds synced to our servers. It cannot be undone. Rounds already stored on your phone are removed when you delete the app. To ask about anything else, or to request a copy of what we hold, email apps@filledstacks.com.
Children
Every Swing is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and surface the change in the app.
